I am debating on which rear to use. I have a B-body 8 3/4 housing that has a bad end on it, I was going to narrow it and have them put new ends on it, But in this stage I am thinking dana. What dana housings can you use from trucks, I want to run caltracs so I am not worried about snubber mounting. I am not that familiar with dana's always ran 8 3/4's. My engine is supercharged 440 with 727, 10 inch turbo action converter, 1350 style joints, and I am thinking that the 8 3/4 may be the weak link .Is it better to mess with junkyard housings or just buy a new housing from moser's ,strange etc. thanks

dana! dana! dana! pretty much any housing. make sure it has a 60 cast on it somewhere, and the tubes are long enough. also there are many different diameter tubes. try to get 3". if not, no biggie.

And if you do find one with 3" tubes, another option is to have big bolt (5 x 4.5") late Ford ends installed on it for brake part availability (Ford Explorer) and the big Ford bearings. Tom
