I thought about that...no fenderwells (Hookers, Heddman) for me...I have a set of Pro Parts Headers for the stroker I'm building...they should fit with no problem...in the meantime I'll run a set of B-body headers with the 383 I have built already...

wow!! good job there, i agree, the shock mount tie-in is tits, makes me contemplate going to 12 from 8.  and for the tech stop me if i'm wrong, chromo is heavier than steel, but since its strength is much better, one can use a smaller tube and or a thinner tube to accomplish the same job. thus reducing weight and keeping the same strength or keeping the same weight and incresing strength. bummer is though i think it all needs to be tigged and from my dealings with it, its much tougher to fab than mild.

very nice cage. nd2stopfastr mild steel is better for roll cages then chromo. nascar has done 30 million in testing and all nascar chassis are mild steel because the chromo failed every test that they through at it.

Really?  I could see chromo being more brittle, and not taking the shock like mild steel.  I would guess steel would "give" and absorb more energy before fracturing.  Do you have any of the NASCAR test data?  I would be interested.

Not jumping on the bandwagon quite yet, but my cage is mild steel, just because I can do it myself, and cannot TIG.

i wish i did but nascar does there testing and doesn't give it to everyone to keep. i was at roush at the time and they were doing testing with the two. i read the data but realy didn't under stand all the numbers and test results.  the best way i can tell you is after all the money spent and time into it all the nascar chassis are mild steel.
