headlights low beams sort of work

well i have a 71 dodge demon with a 440 basically brights work all the time the low beams sometimes work and once they do start working will cut in and out so i have brights on most of time and lots of people flashing their lights.  this is not a huge concern as i remedy this problem by not driving at night but on few occasions i have to i want to see whats in the damn road

Sounds like maybe your headlight switch is bad. Once they get funky all kinds of weird things start happening.

It wouldn't be the headlight switch, but it could be the high beam switch or the bulkhead connector. Both tend to cause problems.
