Custom gauges
« on: July 01, 2006, 03:53:02 PM »

While walking around the auto section of Walmart last night I saw a Mini 3-Gauge set.  I thought that it would work in my 73 Dart Sport gauge cluster. With a little work this is what it looks like now.

I thought about doing that but I put the miny cluster under the dash instead. Being that the panel is basicaly flat, a berson could rig somthing up with VDO or maybe stewart warner gauges to get them all to mach. But, it looks good and probably works better than original equipment.

Looks good, too bad they don't have a fuel gauge that you could put in.

I am going to try to make the ring on the fuel gauge match the other gauges.

I did some checking on the internet and the fuel gauge is as close to the other gauges as I could fine. I would have liked to have had a 1 3/4 gauge to match the other gauges. At least now I have all new working gauges.

What brand is that fuel gauge? Are you using the stock sender?

It is a VDO from Summit. I am using the sending unit that was in the fuel cell that I bought with the car.
