Bucket seat compatibility
« on: July 03, 2006, 03:20:48 PM »

Hi,
I have a 1970 Dart Swinger. I have a chance to buy buckets from a 1975 Dart. I think they will bolt right in. Are the frames the same? Could I reapulster the 75 seats to look like the 1970 version? Will the seat backs screw anything up? Thanks.

Go for it, the 70-76 A-bodies are basically the same.  You will probably have to drill additional holes for the bucket if you car is equipped with a bench presently.  Some massaging of the front mounts and shims will be necessary for a perfect fit.  I have 84 Toyota Supra seats in my 74 Duster, so most seats will fit with some imigamitation.
