I am getting a misfire at the top end of the track and i think the battery is not coping well enough, so i'm thinking of fitting a second one on the other side of the trunk. The car has a dual field alternater, Gold box and the stock ballast, could this cause the misfire, i have read the gold box needs a 0.25 ma ballast and the stock one is 0.50. Mike

It never happens in the first 2 gears, it's always in 3rd. Bob, 2 of the firewall connectors are new and 1 is the engine bay, coil is accel super coil. I am fitting a new battery brfore it hits the track again, i will check all the connections again. The alternator is dual field. I have got a spare orange box, i may try that next time out, as i know they use the .5 ma ballast. Thanx for your input Mike
