yet another noob brake question...
« on: July 16, 2006, 04:52:19 AM »

So I'm a little confused.  I've got 9" manual drums in my '71, and I want to put in power discs, but all the kits that I seem to find are for the 10" drums.  I checked on p-s-t.com, sumitt, and Mancini, and about the only thing that I've found that I think will work is at Mancini, http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/disbrakconki.html , # SSBA153-1.  Has anybody used this kit?  Will this work for my 9" drums?  Is there anywhere else that carries the kit that I need?  Any help with this would be great.

I'm assuming that he means retaining the drum spindle?? If so, it should not be a problem either way. Scarebird has the adapters if you want to buy the rest of the stuff in another kit.
