Looks good.....re-skinning that hood is an ambitious project

I am thinking of reskinning my Demon hood with a challenger r/t hood.

Plumbing.......brake lines, power steering reservoir lines, fuel lines.  I am obsessed with the details and have all matching fittings throughout the car.  All black and titanium finish.

Our Dart is basically done. It is a daily driver, so it's got a few foibles that make it less than perfect, but overall, it's a runner.

I do have one issue that I have to rectify..but since it doesn't really apply to "daily Driving", it's been pushed back a bit

Here it is:

The BB 727 Torqueflight transmission shifts up and down perfectly fine when left in "DRIVE"...even when we floor it from a Brake Stall..

However, when we really "get on it" and try to up-shift manually, sometimes the 1 -2 shift happens when we flick the lever, sometimes it happens a second or so later... Embarrassed

And then, when we follow with the shift 2 -3, most of the time it either takes a while or it simply Never upshifts. Not good.. Tongue

We have our Shift Light set at 5800 RPM, and a Rev limiter set at 6400 RPM.

We shift at the light.

We've been told that the governor on our Transmission should be looked at. Supposedly, our transmission was originally in a Chrysler Imperial, so it may be governed to shift rather sedately, on its way to Sunday Mass and the Bingo Parlour.  Wink

We will be taking it to Art Carr's Performance Transmission in the near future for a prognosis.

FWIW, my buddy who got me into MOPARs, and more specifically Dodge Darts and who just built a 64 Dart, has an identical shift problem with his transmission. He's waiting to see what transpires with mine so that he can attack his. Smiley

wow, that's quite a bit of plumbing

Well, I found out today that my chasis gut just went to the hospital for an illness that's been bothering him for about a month or so.  Sad  hope he's alright
So my car's gonna be sittin in my shop for a little while longer, he just said at the begining of this week that he'd be ready in about a week and a half. I guess I've got to wait a little longer, darn it.

can no longer do 5% down payments on construction loans, but we're still in an appreciating market so there is a little less panic.  Underwriting loans has toughened immensly, which it should have been doing long before now  Dunno

Finished up the purge yesterday. Now it looks busy in the back too.  Shocked  Had a bit of tranny fluid puke out of the vent yesterday Huh  I need to investigate more today.  The list is short, I hope to get it done and pull it out of the garage today to wash it.

The gauges are plumbed, I put a bulkhead fitting in the firewall for the line from the bottle and another one in the floor for the BOV.
