Did those vents fit right in there like that?  I have an A-10 dash as well.

I bought the Hot Rod Air brushed aluminum directional vain vents and there is no way in hell they will fit the dash holes.  Maybe I could machine some of the outer perimeter off to make them go, but I would hate to have them fall apart on me if I took too much aluminum away.

Finally a day with some car work! I put her up on the lift and pulled the tranny, swapped the flexplate, put the tranny back in the car...Tomorrow I'll be installing the fuel system, pump, filter, lines etc. and hopefully get the radiator mounted...

Well... good news and bad news.  I warmed it up sat, ran the valves and pulled it out to wash it.

Well that's where the good news stops.  I started it up to put back in the garage and it quit, no spark  So I tested the pickup, it seems to be working but the coil test's like it's shorted.  I ordered a new one and it should be here tomorrow.  Undecided I still hope to beat the crap out of the car on fri for putting me though this

Just finished painting my Duster black, so I'm doing the cut'n buff routine on it.  Once that is complete, I can attack the short list.

- Install polyurethane LCA bushings - DONE
- Paint LCA's, steering box, an A-arms metallic silver - DONE
- Replace front windshield - DONE
- Buy & install new door weatherstripping - DONE
- Install new oil pump - DONE
- Replace burnt pushrod - DONE
- Buy new starter - DONE
- Install new set of valvesprings - Decided not to do
- Install motor & trans -DONE
-Install headers - DONE
- Install K frame and front suspension - DONE
- Clean up interior and trunk
- Reconnect all wiring and hoses, etc
- Fire up engine
- Get front end alignment
- Show off new paint job! !nanr

A chop is pretty daunting........all flat glass I suppose in that hot rod, makes it a little easier.  Looks good

Thanks man, yeah the chop was a challenge, not because of the chop itself but because I raked the windshield back Bonneville style.

A regular chop would have taken me a week, the raked windshield chop took 3 months. Its chopped 6.5", and yeah, the windshield will be 2 piece flat glass.

The next one I do will be much faster. You learn so much building a vehicle from scratch.

trial fit up on the trailer. me and abrasive modified the trailer so we wouldn't have to use boards on the ramps to load up. worked with plenty of clearance for the first time.  Cheers
