I am only missing 2 parts from my dash. The first is my A/C controler, then the stereo. I will buy it when the car is ready for the road.

This is the color I am thinking of going with. My rollbar will be done in the color, and all of my suspenion stuff.

I am taking a little break from the Duster to build one of these (mine isn't the one pictured below, but you get the picture).

I have to get it running for under $3000 to meet the challenge and I will definitely meet that goal at this point (I only have $150 invested so far!). I have the cab, motor, tranny, radiator, tires/rims, K member, electrical, and seats (that actually fit!). I have to pic up my 8 3/4, the front I beam suspension, fab the rear suspension, get the 2X3 metal for the chassis, gas tank, steering column, and some other small stuff.

It's crazy that you can build one of these for next to nothing when you know the right people.

I am painting it flat blood red.

<surfacing from deep lurk mode>

Well it ain't an A-Body...but it's mine and it'll haul the whole family, both dogs, the 10 tons of crap required to support a wife and three kids away from home for more than an hour Frustrated.

Well, it'll do all the above once I get it running!

Just put freshly painted Cop Steelies and 255-60-15's on to replace the original H-78-14 maypops. This winter when it's not so freakin HOT <118 in the shade, 102 at midnight> outside I plan on pulling the 383 4bbl and rebuilding it (it's stuck, got another good core if it's bad) Strokin it if the budget allows.

I miss my A-body's....but I like my Sea-Body!

The dash is bare metal. I am thinking of powdercoating it Candy Blue. That is what the sample is.

i've been trying to fab up the throttle bracket. that went fairly easy until i welded the bracket for the retun springs. i didn't get it far enough down to put enough tension to close the throttle blades, not a good thing. so that was one of the things i didn't have to do once.

Well..besides the 68 Dart of my son's ...this is our current project that is sitting in the driveway. Its a 99 Dodge Cummins Diesel that we have modified just a little. This picture shows the twin turbos that we installed. Mod's include a fully port and poilished 'O' ringed head with ARP head studs,150hp F1 injectors,F1 custom ground cam,hot rod VP44 injector pump,Edge Juice, and cant forget the NOS. Not shown in the picture is a set of custom built ladder bars that Rickey and I built..well lets say I cut and tacked it together and Rickey did all the welding. Estimated hp on motor only is low to mid 600 hp at the rear tires..and that would put the torque at around 1200lbs..Truck will be used as a daily driver. NO this is not our truck...it belongs to a customer and good friend of ours..Oh by the way...ignore the Banks Big Head logo on the wastegate...it is NOT a Banks Twin turbo kit....

houston we have a problem, no that's two problems houston. the #1 and #2 header hits the #3 main cross bolts. damnit jim, if it's not one thing it's another. oh well abrasive is modifiing them. hopefully enough to fit the diaper on too. i think it will work out with a little header wrap to keep it from melting.

Well, I WILL be working on my '70 Plymouth Duster in the near future

Here it is in 2002

Here it is now
Heres the 360 I want to put in it(gotta swap out the slant six k-member with the V8 k-member)

Here is the car as of now

Now, Im not a very active member on this board, but I would like to be, but Im always on another forum most of the time. Also, I am a junior in high school and going to a vocational school in auto mechanics. My instructor is a pure mopar nut(who knows, he might be registered on here). My instructor has a '70 duster with a 440 that he drag races, thats what I want to do woth this car in the future is put a 440 in it, but Im only in high school, so I cant afford a 440 yet. My dad has most of the parts to make this car road-worthy. He has new front fenders, a new quarter panal, a new k-member for the V8, and thats basically it. He has a 904 trans for it, I'll use that 'till I can get enough money to buy a 727 for it, then I can really have some fun with this car Grin Well, thats it, I hope to work on it this winter

I been trying to get back on the Avenger but the other car and a friends ford have kept me busy. I been putting this off for a wile and decided to try and get The struts knocked out. As you can tell I still have a ways to go but this thorn in my side is over  and I feel happy with where they are.  This is my home built hot rod, it's still a ways away but I get to hit it hard this week so it should take shape in a hurry. I can't wait to do something besides cut and weld LOL notching the ends with a carbide burr is a PITA. This post needs a bump so  drinks

I punched a bunch of holes in the bottom of my air cleaner lid to help it breathe a little better...

Trying to get my homemade exhaust final installed.  The tips are made by myself as well and a bitch to get just right...

I finally got the new regulator installed and plumbed in...

I also got the oil fill welded in my 440Source driver's side valve cover...

oh well, not being able to go the world street finals in orlando this weekend i worked on the demon. the headers are completed on the drivers side. the passenger side is almost done but i need help tightening the bolts on the that side. i wraped the #1 and #2 tube with heat wrap and install that damn diaper. jheeze what a hassle but it's in there. installed the egt's in #'s 1,2,7 and 8. #'s 3,5,4 and 6 need an adaptor made but they are in the header and though the firewall ready to go in the computer. the rpm pick-up is in and grounded also. i pulled the fuel pump off tosend it out to get rebuilt. well that's about it for today. oh ya, it ought to be done this week.  Roll Eyes

I been at it trying to get the major welding done before the cold set's in and I can't open the garage and air it out wile I'm welding. i hate fumes LOL. I have just about all the bars made for the drivers compartment, and the struts are where they need to be so I just need to finish up the rear structure and start mock up of the motor, and the rest of the parts along with the tin and pluming.
