The grate on the cowl (between the hood and the windshield) will be recessed and sealed off.  Also the wiper holes will be removed.  I will change the hood to a 6" CF lift off and the cowl changes will make room for an air cleaner and some sort of air pan. No new paint other than the piece that's getting cut up and changed. No lexan, the window and stock dash will go back in.  I just have to get it out so my body man can do his thing.  The tanny is going back for a freshen up, no internal changes planned for the motor but I might play with a little  nitrous  Evil

I'm broke, but I still managed to do some stuff with the Demon. We tweaked the tuning a little bit and cut out the holes for the scoop. Since we did that, we put a new air cleaner on it, and did a tune up. We've cleaned up under the hood a bit, and it's now got Accel 3000+ wires on it, too. Here's a new picture:

I'm also forced to tear down my big block again, because it got wet in a recent storm (there's a whole thread about this). I've got my temporary carb and intake for the big block, just didn't put it on in time. They're the only things that didn't get soaked because I had them in my bedroom:

Other than that I've been too busy with Vivian... and "studying" for finals Grin

That new hemi looks sweet in there  Grin

I'm a lazy ass, Since my last post I crated the tranny and shipped it back for a freshen up.

I still need to
  • remove ignition box
  • remove gauges
  • remove hood hinges
  • remove hood pins
  • remove latch
  • remove windshield
  • remove dash
I have no motivation until the new hood gets here, then I really ony have a few hours work...
Instead all I remove is snow  Undecided

Let`s see.......
Got the dual line set up done on the oil system hooked up and reprimed .(80 # cold with 20w50 Valvoline)
Gave the front coilovers a few cranks to get the nose up a tad.(1' rake front to back )
Ran my dedicated hot wire for my starter( 2/0 welder cable) . WAY more juice now ! What was I thinking !!???
Installed my alternator hot wire cut-out (relay cuts the alternator hot to battery  if someone throws the bumper kill switch )
Still have to put a vac-u-pan system together , need to weld in some fittings to the header collectors to accept the aspirator (check)valves.
Lots of othe little bugs to work out !

well its been a long hard road and I am ready to make some test and tune runs this weekend with jay's dart.
I call it Jay's dart because Jay is my brother and he had a dream to build a car stricly for the track
so he set out to find a rolling chassis, and he found one in tennesee, (we live in arizona)
so he got his trailer and headed off across country to buy this roller. he dead headed there bought the roller and dead headed back.
you should have seen the smile on his face when he showed up infront of my house with the dart. it was about midnight when he got home and I swear he stayed up all night working on it the first night back.
anyway to make a long story short Jays was taken from us at the age of 40 by a rare heart condition, he passed away in his sleep one night.
After the funeral I decided to finish the car and run it in his honor no matter what the cost.so I have been working on the dart now for two years.you can see pics of the car on big block dart under evil twin racing. I am running a 451 with a powerglide with pro brake, narrowed dana 60 with strange spool and axles 4.56 gears, car has been back halfed with 4 link completely gutted front to back, fiberglass doors fenders bumpers, hood and trunk lid 33x14.50x15'' goodyear slicks, all lexan windows, aluminum dash, smooth firewall with master cylinder relocated under car, all specs on car are with pics on this site. I am hoping to break into the 9.00 second bracket friday night, I would be happy with a 9.99 but we will see, anyway I dedicate this to you my brother .......... god love you and we all miss you.

I was welding on this yesterday. My part of it's done now I just had to weld those 5 pieces on the shield. The Soon-to-be father-in-law has asked me to do the welding on these sheilds he's making for a military/Police organization he's in. this sheild is for the president of the organiszation. I welded on another one that was just a rose shape welded in the center of a iron cross welded onto a sheild. I can't remember the name right now it's something rose and their sheild is purple with a gold edgeing, the iron cross is gold and has a hand painted rose. Pretty cool things to do I enjoy them.

well today i finished moving the magneto pulse convertor and rpm selector inside the hotrod. i was getting rfi (i hate getting that) because it was on the inter fenderwell and was picking it up from the mag and transformer. i install it on an aluminum bracket to the left of the steering wheel. now it will be easy to change the shift rpm. i had to install a noise filter on the incoming 12v wire and use shielded wire going back out to the transformer to pick up the ignition pulses. next is to fit the hopped up mallory mag IV in the bullet.

I picked up the tranny at the truck terminal last night, it's back from it's vacation in the mid-west.  Last weekend I removed the hood hinges, the latch, the gauges and the carpet.  I'll get the ignition out of it this weekend then it's ready to go to the body shop.  I'll remove the windshield and dash down there.  The hood is not here yet.  Undecided I called this week, it's still a couple of weeks out.
