Been busy getting this project on the road...still some minor details to attend to, mainly getting all the gauges working properly

It goes like a bat out of hell and handles like a slot car, major kudos to Bill's alterKtion and 4 link rear

This has also taken-up a bunch of my time

i know not many (if any) will like my projects, but i do (and thats all that counts right?) right now im workin on my 87 5th ave. doin some fab work in the trunk for the hydro setup. 4 batteries and 2 pumps. i added frame connectors and changed out the rubber iso mounts up front for solid aluminum ones.

after i get the hydros installed in the 5th ill turn my attention to my other project, my 74 dart sport. workin on getting a BANGIN stereo in it, ill clean the underside, install frame connectors, and undercoat it. i already changed the 7.25 rear for a 8.25 and changed the front rotors to the 4.5" bolt pattern (all so i could put my rims on it Grin) when im done itll have a flacked out green paint job with black patterns, matchin flaked green rear end,gas tank, tranny, motor, and driveshaft, and LOTS of chrome. oh ya and this puppy only has 44xxx on the clock and has all original hoses under hood and all original interior (except for the wheel i swaped out)

this will also get hydros in the future

you can see more pics of both rides in my sig.

Looks good big Cube and spikekid.
I had a couple low riders with Juice when i was a pup. One was a Gutless, it only had front, and I thought the 12's were thumpin till I built the S-10 with FBSS and two 12's, a 10" bazooka, and two 15" orions in the the bed for cruzN. Yep, i still like em but there hopping just aint as fun as the Valiants launch hanging the hoops about a foot for 60'  drag tree

today abrasive came over and we redid the inter fender wells to keep the slicks from rubbing them. they came out good. we also raised the back of the hotrod up 1" so we are good to go now and with just a tad more body work on the front of the wheel well lip and paint it.

Installing a Dana 60 and moving in my springs.  Taking way longer than expected .  I think most of that time is fabbing--fitting ,  cutting ,  grinding....

We are 8 hours in, only to find out i have the wrong ring gear.  Did you know there are different thickness  ring gears for  Dana 's  ?  I sure in the F  didnt.

thanks  bob--

turns out the gears were 4:56 - not 410 like i want.

we found  a 410 set , but i have to get a fine spline yoke monday .  "should "  have the car done monday night  sans driveshaft .

I will have a factory width A body 8 -3/4 housing     , Yukon axles  ,  742 center section  ,  for sale in a couple days  if anyone is looking for that stuff.

I will list the parts on the "other" mopar site that has a for sale section..... Smiley

I've been doing a bit of wiring.  Crank trigger, throttle switch and under hood wiring of the solenoids still needs to be done.  I got to get the motor/tranny in today.

motorinstall   duster  well today i decided to prime and time the hotrod. so i get it primed and go to put the magneto and drive back in and notice the the roller bearing is missing along with one of the races.  Embarrassed well i'm able to fine the race with a magnet, great right, wrong. i can't find the roller bearing. Cry  sooooooooooooo now i have to remove the oil, diaper and pan. to find it.  \/][ it's most likely laying on the windage screen. what a refreshing thought to know that at least i don't have to do anything just once.  Undecided

as they say, practice makes..........insanity   \/][

just finished a few minor interior details on the duster.  finally have a gauge package and dash insert so I can lose the 80% non-functional stock instrument cluster and replace it with a nice custom package I snagged at the last good guys show (and proceeded to misplace...until this past weekend)   !nanr

2 engines in work for relatively (initially) stock rebuilds.  a mid 80's era motorhome 440 (TBD where it ends up)  and a formerly truck 360 (possibly for the Coronet).  now I just need the  throw money to pay for em.

Just finished painting my Duster black, so I'm doing the cut'n buff routine on it.  Once that is complete, I can attack the short list.

- Install polyurethane LCA bushings
- Paint LCA's, steering box, an A-arms metallic silver
- Replace front windshield
- Buy & install new door weatherstripping
- Install new oil pump
- Replace burnt pushrod
- Buy new starter
- Install new set of valvesprings
- Install motor & trans
-Install headers
- Install K frame and front suspension
- Clean up interior and trunk
- Reconnect all wiring and hoses, etc
- Fire up engine
- Get front end alignment
- Show off new paint job! !nanr

well kiddies today was a total up day. believe it or not i was able to fish the roller bearing out from on top of the windage screen with a telescoping magnet and by just turning the crank to to correct spot. Smiley Wink Cheers !nanr all is good. so it's all ready to go except for 8 more quarts of oil and alcohol.

I've got a 71 dart I'm working on.  The car is stripped down and on the rotisary, working on the front suspension, rear suspension and the 383 BB is in the other side of the shop getting the bottom end put together.  Retirement is great, I just need to keep the motivation up and the money coming in, these things are expensive!

Well, I am finally finished working on the house and back to thinking about the car.  I am getting parts ready for the big thrash on the August long weekend.  I have to have this thing running again for Moparfest.  I port matched the Torker intake, refinished the new coil bracket to clear the Holley, and ordered some 3/8 line to re plumb the fuel system.  I'm trying to have everything ready to just bolt on when I finish the cam swap.

I got the motor in yesterday... Don't ever try to move plumbing around without the motor in the car  hammer I needed to move the lines from the pump to the pan to make room for a temp sending unit.  I lowered the hose's a little and they hit the column

I re-plumbed them today

Looks like I got a bit more plumbing to do  duster

I have to re-do all the fuel lines to add another regulator.. things are going to look a little busy with all the fuel lines are run.

I managed to work on my hood project today. For those who do not know I bought a pile of shit WS Racing hood. Anyway I removed it from the frame they sent it on. Then removed the skin from my original hood. I have now sand blasted it and POR15 the in side of it. Come next week I will bond it together. I have several pictures on my Photobucket page.
