Help Needed With Glovebox lock/latch!
« on: July 20, 2006, 12:45:20 AM »

Ok can someone tell me how the lock/latch comes out of the glovebox door? I've taken the screws out of the back but I'm going nuts trying to get it out of the door!

1)Turn lock into locked position.
2)Insert a stiff wire in rear slot of lock mechanism and depress retaining tumbler into cylinder.
3)While holding tumbler down with wire in lock cylinder, insert key
4)Remove wire and pull out lock cylinder.
5)Remove two (2) latch mounting screws and remove assembly.
