67' Dart Quarter window chrome piece
« on: August 22, 2006, 04:50:17 AM »

Well I had the funest time trying to remove the window from the quarter and after much struggle its out. My next step is trying to remove the chrome trim that lines the window. The problem is its not screwed in or anything and I don't know the way to pop it off. Any help would be great, Thanks.

Not sure about the 67, but on 69 they pop on and off, they use clips.
Just push the trim up starting from the front end.
It's the window fussie's you are talking about, right?

They are just pushed on.
It is interference fit (tight fit).
You should be able to just work it off or pry it off. Be carefull as you don't want to damage it, if you plan on reusing it.
Just make sure that nothing is actually holding it on like a clip or screw as you had mentioned. You shouldn't have that much of a problem getting it off.

you can use a thin putty knife and a small hammer and very very very carefully tap it off (if you can get it to slip into the crack between the glass and chrome it will come off better with no damadge).
