Gearbox problem

I have a new federal p/s pump,and a new hose,I resealed the the contol valve,leaking..now when started ..the wheels go to the left by its self,and starts squealing the belt when fully turned,I didnt mess with anything other than installing new orings,and when driving wants to pull to the left,take belt off no problems? any Ideas? thanks

Sounds to me like something is pressing against the valve causing it to send full pump pressure to one side of the steering gear. I would take it back apart and have a good look and make sure nothing is out of place.

Loosen the 2 5/16 bolts on top steering sector and slide the valve a little bit tighten it and recheck it again... May have to do it several times before you get it centered. It's just out of adjustment.
