Back in 1980 when we first bought our 70 Cuda with a mild 426 Hemi, 4 speed and 3.54 geared Dana, with 29" tall X12" wide Firestone slicks and fiberglass hood, doors, fenders and deck lid, the car ran low 11 second passes in the 1/4 mile at around 115 to 120 mph.
My 66 Coronet with a 440 engine with 9.7 to 1 cpmpression and a 284 /484 MP cam and iron heads with stock sized MP valves, along with a full manual 727 transmission and a 3.91 gear ratio in the 8.75 rear end with sure-Grip and an all steel body, has run a best of 13.02 at 105 mph. Tires were 26.5" tall by 10" wide, Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro D.O.T. leagal tires and full exhaust with 69 factory HP cast iron exhaust manifolds.

RR - 10.70 through the mufflers, no baby's bottle here. (Otherwise, when #3 rod kicked out, it REEEEEAALLLLLY would have made the news) Dart - Awaiting interior and windshield to go back in before trip to strip. (anticipating low 13 to hi 12's; it's probably capable of more but the MRS is going to be driving it ) Hyabusa - Sorry, still too scared of it to find out. ( I like to think of it as a healthy respect though.)

My old 67 Blue Dart with a one legger and 383 went 15.00's. My convertible I could probably push down the 1/4 in a hour flat.

My Dart isn't finished yet. Hopefully this year. I'll be happy if I can cut into the 12s in street trim. It's a 440/auto, leafspring offset. Motor is built some. 3.23s but hope to put 3.91s soon. 69 Sport Satellite convertible 318 2bbl. auto 3.23s. All stock. 16s maybe? Its a cruiser.

Don't worry about what he says. Up in Minnesota we have Lot's of cars in the 3400 lb to 3900 lb range running the 8 second zone. There is a street legal blowen Hemi cuda that runs mid 7s but he's a lite 3200lbs.
