What 4 link to purchase?
« on: September 01, 2006, 05:02:15 PM »

Hello. I am looking to purchase a 4 link system for my 68 barracuda. Can anyone reccomend a good one. I plan to run a Dana 60 rear end.

Who is going to install it? If it's a chassis shop, what's theur preference?  Lots of fabrication involved - installing the front crossmember, installing a new shock crossmember, etc. And are there plans to tub or narrow the car? If so then I'd be installing a 4 link then, not before, cause you'd have to re-do a lot of the work when narrowing the car.  Then there is the intended use - street duty, drag only, etc. Makes a difference when selecting the heim joints - arguably as big an expense as the rest of the 4 link parts. Good chrome moly joints can cost more the the 4 link tubes and brackets. Street cars can get ones with nylon inserts for a less harsh ride.

I used a Chassis Engineering kit on one, but I also tubbed and narrowed/backhalved  the car at the same time.
