Sterling??
« on: September 06, 2006, 09:57:38 PM »

My mechanic is scapping a 4 x 4 Ford club cab. I was looking underneath at the rear diff thinking that I might get a decent deal on a Dana 60.
He says it is Sterling 10 1/4" diff. It is pretty huge at that, the tag reads 4L10, and it has 12 bolts on the cover.
Is this thing for real or is he pulling my leg?

The Sterling axles are the real deal, and massive.  I think it was fords answer to the 14 bolt.  Definately a truck axle.
