Has anyone ever thought of mounting the leafs on their dakota inboard of the frame ? I was thinking about welding a plate on the inside of the frame and taking the mounts from the opposite side and mounting them to the plate so that I could use the whole wheel well right to the frame. Do you think this would affect the handling much? Especially if I narrowed the rear end abit as well??
