I have found a nice 1969 Barracuda coupe at a reasonable price, but it is a 6 cylinder. I have several engines available, including a good 383 and a good 440, so my question is this. What do I have to do to convert the 6 cylinder to the big block engiine? I want the installation to look stock, so I also need advice on which engine to use. Should I use the 383 or the 440? Is one easier to install than the other? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You will have a little more room with the 383, but I really like more cubes. Theres many ways to skin a cat, as far as how to get it in there!! Shumocker mounts, motor plate, really depends on what you want! With keeping the stock look Id good Shumocker mounts and tri y headers.

I have a 400 in my 69 barracuda with Schumacher mounts and Hedman B body headers. If I was starting over again I would probably use the Schumacher tri Y's.
