It sits on factory leaf springs which are assisted by air shocks. A shortened Road Runner shaft connects to a 727 which Ron rebuilt using stock Chrysler parts and a used Cheetah manual valve body. A Turbo Action 10" 3000 stall converter is out front. |

Ron got this stock bore 383 from a friend who had it in an 11 second 68 Cuda. Ron then honed the cylinders and had stock bore 9.5 -1 pistons knurled and fit them in the bores with file-fit rings. A stock crank and rods get lubed with a high volume pump and windage tray. On top, the 452 heads got a three angle valve job, were milled .060, and Rons brother administered the pocket porting. An MP 284/484 cam works with stock rockers and shims. An Edelbrock Torker intake holds a 700 Holley DP and is fed through a Holley "red" pump. The stock electronic distributor has a spring kit, the vacuum advance is disconnected, and it's powered by an orange box. CPPA headers and 2 1/4" exhaust with Dynomax mufflers round out the package. |
