Mooneyham Equipped

Tom Walsh has a rough commute to work every day....Statin Island to Brooklyn....bumper to bumper indeed.
There's one good thing about it though. If the sun's out, he uses this car to get him there.
How many blown Darts do you think you'd pass in Brooklyn during rush hour?
How many blown Dart owners do you think would have the guts to drive one in such traffic?
From the research I've done so far, Tom and his big Mooneyham are the only ones you'll find --- of course, I'm sure this will be disputed in short notice. Bring 'em on :)
Tom started with the traditional back-half job, adding a four-link suspension to hold the narrowed 8.75.
33x19.5 Sportsman Pros are bolted to bullet proof Moser axles, and they're in turn spun by a 4.56 geared spool.
Moving along, you'll find a 727 with a reverse body and a 10" Coan converter. All quality stuff to handle some big numbers.

Here, in all it's glory, is the polished mass of fire breathing dragon found under the hood.
The specs of this motor are even fun to SAY, much less actually drive.
The 440 starts out mild, being bored .030 with a steel crank and stock rods. But then, those stock rods are pinned to 7:1 Forged Venolia blower pistons and matching rings. A custom ground .640" Crower roller cam operates the big valves in a set of Stage IV iron heads that were fully ported by BrandyWine Cylinder Head Service.  2" primary underchassis headers get rid of spent fumes.
The cherry on top is a polished 6-71 Mooneyham blower that drinks through two Holley 750s.
Set at a conservative 3% under, it makes 5psi of boost. In this configuration, the blown RB makes 600hp on pump gas.
Tom stated that the combo is running well and all sorted out, so it'll soon be time to upgrade those pulleys for some more boost.
Changing pulleys would be so much fun :)
A Howe alum. radiator, coupled with a CSI electric pump and two Flex-A-Lite fans keep things cool, even during rush hour in Brooklyn.

Heres the best part...Toms dart is all steel and weighs in at 3250lbs.
Running strictly super unleaded from the ol' Texaco, on street tires,  this car cranks out 10.90's @ 124mph!
Bad To The Blown indeed.
