    My 1972 Demon 440

Finally got around to installing the 3" Summit kit. Although it was made for a small block with headman headers, with a little bit of creative cutting and welding with help from my friend, it on and running. The day it was finished, I backed it out of the garage and ran it for a few minutes, then the electric fuel pump decided to die. Good thing I had a spare. Put that in, relocated the fuel filter and moved the shut off switch, and it's ready to hit the streets.

    Nice. I love the Demons.
It's a good thing that was a hybrid or I might not have had enough gas to get past him.

Summit lists them as Turbo mufflers.
All I know is you could look straight through them.

Sounds badass! Have I seen this Demon at Lebanon valley? If its the one I think, its even nicer in person!

    Ryan,
This is not the Demon you are thinking of.
    That one is real nice.
Mine has only been there a few times. The last time I was there with it was 3 years ago.

Took the BB Demon out for a spin Sunday.
Radiator was a bit low so I topped it off before going out.
The new exhaust system sounds nice, but is a bit loud.
Pulled out of the driveway went around the first turn and here comes the Sheriff going the other way. I kept going and so did he.
Stop by my buddies hose and we checked out the fuel gauge and have come to the conclusion that the aftermarket gauge is bad.
Came home and parked the car, went inside and came out 10 minutes later. There's a wet stripe in the driveway under the radiator.
Not sure if it came out the top of the overflow tank, or the lower radiator hose. The over flow tank was damp on top, and had drips on the bottom. And the lower radiator hose had a drop on top, almost looks like it has a small 1/4" slit. I wiped it off and look in a bit, as the system is still pressurized.
I did put my foot into it a bit when I was leaving my buddies house. It was loud , but sounded awesome.

This was the run about 4 years ago. This was the 2 1/2" system with many curves and clamps to hold it together. I think these were the Warlock mufflers. Run with the caps on.

I should be driving it to the local cruise tonight.
We'll see how it goes with the 4 kids stuffed in the car. If the wife goes, she will have to drive a separate car.

Had a good time, talked to a few people.
Demon is leaking a small amount of anti freeze from the thermostat housing. It is a new one, thicker base, and the dang thing still leaks.
It's also leaking a bit of oil, drips on the oil pan, on the k frame, and back towards the transmission.
Also, the right rear tire is rubbing the fender, and is peeling rubber off. It is closer to the top on the right side than on the left. Sounds bad when I go over a bump. Then you can smell the burnt rubber in the car. I did just fill the fuel tank up full for the first time, So, all the weight from the fuel, plus the 3 kids in the back make it sit lower. I'll have to swap out one of the leaves on the passenger side, for a better one.

I also know where a bunch of Dusters ended up. More Mopars at the cruise than anything else.
