Anyone have a ballpark for a stock 72 Swinger, with a 318, and 904?  The reason I ask is because I need to know what leaf springs to buy.  I'm looking at the MP SS springs and they have 2800Lbs or 3800Lbs versions.  Any suggestions?
DO NOT get 3800# springs!!

I have a pair of brand new 3400# springs that I pulled out. With the 3400# springs on the car, it would move just slightly when I put my full weight on the rear bumper. They are better on B bodies. Bought 3000# (002/003) springs and they seem ok.

Even 2800# is probably ok for your car, especially with a 318. Keep in mind, these springs were intended for drag racing, so a 3000# spring is MORE than adequate for a 3000# street car.

BTW, I would guess you're around 3200-3300 lbs.

From what I have found published, /6 or V8 A-bodies (small block) went a little like this:
pre 66= 2700-2900
67= 2900
68= 3000
69= 3000
70-72= 3000-3200
72-74= 3100-3300
74-76= 3400-3500

Bear in mind that published weights were for stripped down cars, also barracuda, dart, valiant, dusters were generally within 100lbs of each other. Also, big blocks add 250-300 lbs to a car, also, options add up too, a/c weighs about 100lbs, power steering weighs more, different rear ends, etc. My dart, before I tore it apart weighed in at 3050 with a 318, 727, and a/c, it was a GT model, but was pretty lightly optioned. When I get the BB in, I plan to weigh it again.

My 67 Notch right when I bought it weighed 3034 on Edmunds.com's 4-pad scales.

Non-original 318 with aluminum intake, 904, 7-1/4 rear end, 14x5 wheels.
Power steer, floor shift with console, manual 4-wheel drums, full dual exhaust, factory starter, iron master, 1/4 tank of gas.
No A/C, no radio, no electronic ignition.

I think that's as specific as I can get.  I figure to weigh it again once I build out a real suspension/brakes and throw on some lightweight goodies.

UPDATE: Now 3150 pounds (same scales in same location)

Engine unchanged.
Alterkation and Streetlynx installed.
Chassis connectors and torque boxes installed.
TKO-600 w/Quicktime bell
18x8 front, 18x9.5 rear wheels
Mini-tubbed rear
14" front brakes
8-3/4 rear with disc brakes, AL housing, 1350 u-joint, AL driveshaft
Added electronic ignition.
TTI 2-1/2" with X-pipe instead of the cheap muffler shop 2-1/4
Denso alternator and starter, upgraded wiring.
KRC steering pump
AL master cylinder
Added a radio with 6-speakers
Nu-Relics power windows
Completed interior, now with all insulations, trim and a little sound deadening, still with console.
Probably 1/2 tank of gas this time.

I figure with all that was added/upgraded being at 3150 is pretty good for an all steel body, full interior and iron headed motor.

Not sure I understand where you are coming from, do you think the 116 increase sounds small or large?

I can tell you with absolute certainty that the wheels/tires added 50 (10 each front, 15 each rear). And the US Cartool subframe connectors weighed 15 each. The set of torque boxes were 5 total.

How much more does an 8-3/4 weigh vs a 7-1/4. I've heard estimates over 100 lbs, the AL center saves 12 of that.

The really interesting thing is that the weight distribution was unchanged: 57.8 before and after.
