I'm converting to manual steering with a new box from PST. Whilst laying underneath my '65 Barracuda contemplating the suspension I remembered how loosey-goosey the idler arm likes to get.
Firmfeel sells and overpriced bearing kit to resolve the issue and it requires finding a bored machinist who loves to do nickel and dime automotive applications, basically a unicorn. In my neck of the woods asking for that will just make me the butt of jokes.
But then I remembered that later model suspensions (68+?) had a better idler setup. Can I easily swap a couple of later bits instead? Maybe just the idler and center link? Searching around I don't see this issue discussed all that much.
