I'm wondering if a '68 300 has the standard 5 x 4 1/2" or the big 5 x 5" bolt circle. My '67 Imperial had the big bolt, and everything else I've ever owned is the standard 4 1/2".

That's what I thought, and this guy tells me it's the 'big bolt' pattern. I said '5 x 5', and he said yes. I've got one of each in my trunk, and I'm going today to check it out.

He might be reffering to the different bolt patterns on early and late A-body cars. Early A's, up to about '73, all had a 5-on-4" pattern, unless it had disc brakes. From '73, most A's had 5-on-4.5" pattern, unless it was a drum brake, slant car.

I'm thinking the same thing. I doubt this guy even knows about 5x4" bolt circle. He's not really a Mopar guy, and probably heard someone else throw the term around. I just want to get this off of him before it snows.
