Sounds like ya got everything you need, dartman. How's it RUN???

And, if ya don't need those d-450's.......
Looks like enough to go have a blast with. 0/

That sounds like a great setup. It'll probably respond well to induction and cam upgrades.
Well, HECK!!! the d-450 headers I thought I had located and paid for turned out to be for LATER a bodies, and not d-450s at all. Once again, I jumped to a conclusion (Well, everybody ought to be good at something, right?). Fortunately, the guy got my postal money order, and realized that what he was selling was not what I thought I was buying! doh

So, what's he do? He calls me, tells me the facts, and returns my money! tnku

Now THAT's the kind of folks I like to deal with, and I told him so!

On another note, I got a call from the legendary Harold at Spitfire headers!!! He said He'd gotten a bunch of calls lately, and expected to be building headers "in a couple of weeks", and I'm on the list!!!

Keeping in mind that I've been waiting, and making inquiries and hitting dead ends and buying wrong stuff, this is freakin' great news!

what is his price for the spitfires???
The 2 1/4 headers were custom built. But they were rusted bad, so i bought a pair of 2 inch hedman for a B body and spare tubing chopped them up and made mine own. By the way what is an windage tray?

Well, here we go again! Best guess I can make is a bit over 200 bucks. The deal is, Harold makes his headers in his spare time, and from what I have read, his price may be variable. Perhaps depending on the customer's attitude; which is where I would be if I were selling spare time work.

Buying headers from Harold seems to be an exercise in patience, and I am working on practicing it. It's kinda tough, though, living as I have in an "instant gratification" world.

All I can tell ya for sure is: Harold called me, and said he'd call again when he was in production. I didn't even ask about delivery and price 'cause I found out that expectations are seeds that resentments grow from.

I don't want any new resentments, I've still got plenty I'm still working on from "the old days". o[

Who is Harold and where is he? I need headers for a 66 GT with a big block. Does anyone make them? What can I buy that will be close enough to start with? Does anyone have pics? I am desperate. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Pro-parts headers from Bob Mazollini, Almost fit 65 "A" w/451 , just 3 mods and that is just chopping, turning and welding up again.
