My buddy Dave hit the driver's side, engine bay, and trunk area of my '68 Barracuda with a little chem strip over the weekend. While the engine bay, roof, and body are solid, it turns out that the trunk is trash. After stripping it down, evidently the car it was originally on was rear-ended and the decklid buckled. Also, the visible filler on the decklid hides major waves which are results of the buckle.

The steering column, box, and K frame are all coming out next weekend. Time for gussets, boxing, powdercoating, and new HD suspension parts!

What kind of chem strip have you had the best luck with for paint removal?
What about removing old undercoating? I have been using the propane torch and putty knife on the undercoating, but was hoping to find a better way.
