The #187 oil pan doesn't work on an early A Body Dodge Dart. If you look at the first pic, that is exactly where a modification is needed. I had a #187 pan on my 1964 Dart. I had to modify another oil pan to get the clearance I needed.that pan looks about right from seeing ones that do and don't work over the years. decent price as well compared to what folks are often asking for 'original' stuff that will work correctly in a B/RB swap. good find
I used a pan from 440 source and modified it to fit. View attachment 55874 View attachment 55875 View attachment 55874 View attachment 55875
Thank you.Yes, that is the pan I started with.Wow you did a lot of modification thats awesome. I wish I could find someone that would fabricate one for me like that thanks for sharing. Is this the one you started with? View attachment 55876
hey what headers did you use on thathere ya go for a reference. this is a V8 centerlink for an early abody. see how much it drops. looking at your pics on my desktop instead of my phone it looks like you may have the V8 one.. i'd like to see the motor mounts. when i did my 64 valiant with a 440 init i used an off the shelf chrome transdapt oil pan and it cleared.. i also had th engine sit a hair high so i didn't have to notch the k-frame to clear the oil pump/filter.
