Just got the 383 and 727 in my 1971 dart, but I have a problem. The center link hits my 187 oil pan after about 1 turn to the left. Looks like I need either a shorter idler or the engine needs to move back by about 1/2 inch. But there’s no more room on the mounts to move it back any and the transmission matches perfectly to the cross. Any ideas?

The '67-72 idler arm will hit. You can shim the mounts to raise the engine, massage the oil pan, or spend money to go to 1973-up steering components.

And that would be idler, pitman, and center link? If I can find it I already have the 73 center link.

What type of mounts are you using? the Schumacher type can be spun around 180 degrees to give you about 1/2 inch. The bolts are off center. I also oblonged the holes in the transmission mount to gain a little more. do you have pictures of the mounts?
