Has anyone tried cramming 275 60 15's on 7" cop rims. recommended rim width is 7.5-9.5" for bfg drag radials. Just wondering if it is even safe or whether the 1/2" will matter?? Any suggestions or has anyone tried??

Which brand of tire did you run? I haven't been able to find that size in BFG's. Drag Radial choices were 235 or 275, radial t/a was available in 255 or 275.
I have 255-60's.

straight line or do you want to go through a corner over 25mph? your gonna have to run low air pressure to make the tire not crown and go bald in the center. ;)
if you have room get your 7 in to a rim guy and add a inch or 2 i added 2 1 / 2 to my rim i run bfg 275 - 60 . ( my car was mini tub ) looks good to
that size will fit and its not to bad either although an 8" rim would be better. That is the biggest tire id stuff on that rim in a 60 series.

Using a drag radial, you'd almost be better with a 235/60/15 as you would have a flatter contact patch (more tire tread planted firmly on the track) with the 7" rim. what i'm saying is that more of the tires contact patch would be used with the tires optimum pressure in it. ;)
Stockton sells cop car wheels in any size and back spacing up to 17x10's. The price isn't really too bad for the 17x10's but they won't be able to make them for 3-4months. I called them earlier this week about them.
