Custom Made Wheels

Where can I get custom made factory style steel wheels? I would really like to get a 15 x 7.5 or a 15 x 8 with a 4.5 backspace. Is there a place that would build wheels to my specs?

Stockton Wheel is in Stockton CA.
Depending on style, Pete Paulsen will make them any way you like. There is also a shop here in Fresno that will put new rims on old centers with any backspacing (to a limit) you need (and, NO it's not Wheel Vintiques). I have also done it myself.

tnku for the site! I was wondering the same thing.
Thanks for the replies. I am looking for the oem chrysler steel wheel look in 15 x 7.5 or 15 x 8.
15x7 are on 84-88 fith aves. and Furys. the 15x8 are on early Ramchargers and Powerwagons 72-77.
I will be buying my third set from Wheel Vintiques. I had a custom backspace steelies delivered in 3 weeks. Check out their website.

These are the steel wheels I picked up from them.

These are the road wheels with trim rings.

Are you going to get the chrome or the trim ring styled steel wheel?

BTW, I found the center caps for my styled wheels for $35 each at Specialty Wheel out of Sandy Oregon at the Portland swap meet. That was 3 years ago. These are alot cheaper than Y/O and look great.

Wheel Vintiques gives a few people good service and others, well, let's just say it's random. I walked in there trying to get some wheels made up and they didn't want to do it. They kept trying to sell me something that wouldn't even work. I wound up making them myself with rims that actually came from WV, but they had to be bought by another wheel shop here in town who would sell them to me. From that one experience (and others I have heard about) they will never get my business.

I want to get the steelies powder coated in black. I think I'm going to order a cheap 8 inch rim from Jegs, then mount the rubber so that I can measure the actual cross section, then get some rims made. The backspace should turn out to be 4.5 to 4.75 inches, no room for error ???

Jim - I'll call Wheel Vintiques, stockton and Pete Paulsen for quotes and see who sounds the most helpfull and competent.

Thanks for the help :)

Mike
Jim, thats good to know about Wheel Vintiques. If you beleive the adds (propaganda) they put out, they sound like the best company on earth.
