Interior Door Color

The interior in my dart is all black. The steel part of the door up top and at the bottom needs some attention. There is some light surface rust where it looks like the paint is worn away from someones arm hanging out the window. I want to sand these parts of the door and repaint. Was this part of the door a glossy color or like a flat color from the factory?
