PLEASE TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT (Opening an old wound o[ )YEAP--about two + years ago there was a susposed "demand" for the kit that ABC once produced(ABC Went under and no longer exists) that I had blue printed,(in order to make and upgrade the patient) signed a contract, applied for an improvement patient application, paid attorney fees and had to up front 2000.00 for a production run of 40 kits, with the option for the sub-frame connecters also be the option to build. We had over 140 "I'll take a set" orders, so I went ahead to order and place down my own UPFRONT 2K for the first 20 sets. When they were completed, I sent emails to every person that "honestly" committed to a set and out of 68 some ....
I received ONE--THATS ONE money order for one set from those "HONESTLY COMMITTED" orders. The balance of those "I'll take a set orders" must have been abducted by them UFO or Aliens from outer space, cause after repeated emails and postings, they all disappeared and never responded or followed through with the order. Talk about a 2000.00 bad taste in ones mouth. With having that said, the 20 I had on hand, most of those were sold at swap meets for 1/2 or less than I hav invested or at various Mopar shows that we went to here in Kansas/Oklahoma/Missouri. I only have the Origional Prototype (1st set) left with the blueprint and patient application(since ABC owned the origional patient and our blueprint and remake improved upon the origional design and we couldn't "legally" make them without buying the patient from them and of course they went defunct and couldnt produce them off their design) Nonetheless, they are fairly simple to make. maybe try and make a set yourself.
They move the spring inboard the frame rails and uses the existing frame.(The kit MP offers is a cut into the frame and weld smaller thickness metal into its spot) The basic design was to use a 3/16 thick Box with the top vut off(Width actually slides over existing frame). It then angles off to a 45* with a 1"dia tube filled with solid urthane bushing for the spring perch to rebolt too. The front was remounted off the attachment point of the frame. Took about 30 min to weld each side if your a shadetree welder like me and about 30 min to attach the front point. In about 2-4 hrs, you can safely and 100% stronger support than the MP One. I can offer you photos when its warmer outside from the existing set as they are mounted on the my Duster(since they are ABC origionals).
I don't ever plan to go in the hole 2K ever again on a project of building something on the word of others with out the greenbacks right up front. As it stands I ATE about 3K over the spring relocation kits. Sorry guys, I'll offer photos of the set on my Duster, but thats the best I can legally do.
