Rim/tire combos - tubs maybe??

What is the widest tire combo, front and rear that can go under a 64 A body? I'd like to keep all 4 tires identical in size and width if possible. How about with offset shackles? and or mini tubbing. I don't want to move the spings under the rails, I prefer the exhaust be out back AND this is not a straight line car, so handling is important. thanks..

I moved the rear springs against the frame rails with the mopar kit and had the rear housing narrowed 2" each side(it was a bbody 8-3/4 housing) and I can easily fit a 235/60 15 drag radial which is 8" wide. I will buy a 28" tall 9" wide tire when I burn these up. On the front, with the 73-up disc conversion, a 205/70R15 tire rubs the very lower front edge on the wheel opening. Those tires are about 25" tall. A lower profile tire with about 24" diameter could be much wider and still work. All this is on a 66 which will be a straight line car when finished. o----o<>
MY 64 VALIANT HAS 15 X 4 COP WHEELS IN FRONT 185 - 15 TIRES MY REAR HAS 15 X 9 1/ 2 COP WHEELS WITH B F G 275 60 DRAG RADIALS . RIMS DONE BY WHEEL WORKS IN BURLINGTON NJ
I have 245 /60 14's on my 66 cuda, with over and inch to spare... 255's no problemo..275 will not fit...
DJV, are you talkin' front or rear? I guess rear, and if so, are ya using the stock A-body rear axle? How about the front tires? Your cuda and my '64 ragtop front wheelwells sre pretty similar, to my recollection.
The rear wheelwells are identical in all the '63 thry '66 A-bodies, aren't they?
I have had 245 /50/14's on all four corners for awhile - until I started drag racing it - lol...
they all fit with out rubbing, the front was real close to the center of the wheel well on the outside of the front fender...during hard turning while backing up - but other then that it was fine
Mine is minitubed.  I've got a 10 inch wide draglite under mine with Mickey Thompson "I" tire.
N50-15, 345/50-15 13.0 section width 11.8 of tread and 28.0 tall.  Under a 64 Valiant.
