What I wound up doing on my 66 was moving the springs in 3/4" with the mopar kit(pretty easy), putting the rim/tire in the wheelwell where I wanted it, measuring flange to flange on the inside of the wheels and having the 8-3/4 rear narrowed. I had to buy custom axles, but now I can fit at least a 9" wide tire in the stock wheelwell. o----o<>
