You will have to splice wires in. It's very easy. It just sucks laying across the floor trying to play with wires.
I have the factory premium AM 8 track stereo and I repaired the factory tweeter/woofer setup. I replaced a couple of capacitors and it is all good now.
I am lucky that all the original wiring harness was never butchered
