Who makes a better rear brake kit and front brake kit? Also do the aftermarket brake kits make the front end wider? Also which is lighter? This is going on a drag car. Thanks.. ???

I have Wilwood on mine, front and rear. Haven't ever saw Aerospace brake set up.
I have used both Strange and Wilwood. I would go With Strange , but both are good.

Wilwood kits are the same width as the later mopar disc brakes, which is about 1/4" wider per side than drums.

Wilwood's quality is fine, but the factory customer service sucks from what I hear. I also hear Aerospace has fine quality and better service. All these brakes are basically the same - if you look inside a Strange caliper you'll find Wilwood part numbers. I'm not sure if Aerospace does the same thing, but the caliper design is identical. I'm a Wilwood dealer so they're obviously much nicer to me on the phone - I don't get to see the customer service side.

The weight is also similar for similar kits - Wilwoods "medium" kit with the solid rotors weighs about the same as the solid rotor kit from Strange, Aerospace, and US Brake - although US Brake doesn't have Mopar kits...I'm working on that :)
If you ever need help with Wilwood's just call me and I'll help ya out. I'd never call a factory for help anyway - too many low-wage sales people to get any decent information.
Well I have used Aerospace on the last few cars I have done. Excellent quality, performance and customer service. Not to mention they can be bought for less money than the others.

Aerospace brakes are more expensive, and the front race kits also have smaller rotors....
I have Wilwoods on my car, nice and easy to put on. The fronts went on my 10inch drum spindles. Never had a problem with them. Dave

Thats good to know! I have 2 dusters with the 10" drums. One is my old race car from the 90's. I will have to check in with Wilwood, or give Bill a call...

thanks for all of the input. I have a set of the wilwood front drag kit I got a couple of years ago but I really was not very impressed with the customer service I got. I am putting a stock eliminator car together and need to get a set of front brakes and rears. The strange seems real nice but so does the aerospace. I dont have a problem with the Wilwood product just there customer service and who knows maybe I just caught the people on a bad day. Does anyone know do all of the calipers take the same fitting for the brake fluid? Also if the wilwood kit is a 1/4" wider than drums are any of the kits narrower? Thanks so much for all the input... :)

None are narrower, just because of the design. They all take the same 1/8" NPT fitting. In fact, the calipers are all interchangable between each other. It's just the appearance that differs with the calipers.
I paid well under $1000 for my front and rear brake kits on the Valiant. IIRC Wilwood was MORE money like about $1100 for all.

Any links for the prices? As soon as my car comes back from the rollcage being put in I will be doing the front and rear suspension and brakes. Still shopping around at prices.

Hey SS/G

What are you building? We run the Aerospace on the front and rear of both our Challengers (B/SA & SS/FA-GA). The product has been great and the customer service has been even better. A plus for us is that they are kind of local.

I bought my last set from a Mustang place, that was advertising on ebay. They were not advertising Mopar kits but I called and got what I needed from them. I have done this everytime. BTW I agree that Aerospace has great customer service, at least in my case the last 4 times I have bought brakes from them..

Any idea how much more it is for the cross drilled and slotted rotors for the wildwood set-up?

$100 more per set. I got the fronts without paying the $100, I didn't order them drilled and slotted. I paid the $100 for the rears to match.
