Has anyone replaced their wiper switch with a painless universal switch? If so how did you wire it and did you use all of the original wires?

Just working on mine now. The wiper motor that I have doesn't have a resistor. The motor that I have uses differnet combinations of the 4 wires. It isn't as simple as 1 connection for low speed and 1 for high speed. I think I can use a DPDT realy to make mine work. There is a trouble shooting procedure in the service manual that you can use to figure the wiring out. That is all I can tell you at the moment.

All I have figured out is the low speed wire goes to #2 and the high speed to #3 on the new switch. This does work but it does not park the wipers when turned off. I can live with manually parking the wipers.
